finally, some time to spare for a post! I've been busy like a bumblebee since I'm back from HK...
Then, I get bored with my template and changed one! That's why it's been locked lately.
you've enjoyed and then you need to pay the consequences :P I'm not complaining here. I lurve how life getting busy and tense...then get a time-off within for some self-reward moments.
HK is definitely one of those moments... =)
Back to where I stopped. We charged ourselves for only 4 hours during the flight.. still, we're only half-charged. =.= I looked miserable in the photos..so dun expect too much of 'me' in it. LOL!
gear-up and ready to shoot! ^^
We bought the Airport Express Travel Pass cost HK$300, inclusive of a return journey of Airport Express and 3-days of unlimited travel for MTR. Also, a HK$50 refundable deposit if you return the pass. I will recommend you to choose this package..although you may travel more than 3 days but for my case, I travel via MTR the most for the first 3 days. For the remaining days, you may buy the Tourist Day Pass cost HK$55 for 1 day of unlimited travel or the normal Octopus card (just like our touch-n-go prepaid concept)
@Airport Express train shows the journey indicator...
in Kowloon and reaching HK soon~~~ =)
After that we headed to our first hotel, Charterhouse in Causeway Bay. Although it's a 3-star hotel, but comforting enough for both of us to sleep tight. :P Of cz, if you're aiming for a budget stay, Hong Kong Island won't be your best choice. That'll be in Kowloon area.
The bed looks so comfortingly inviting that how I wished I get to doze-off for just a second. But I'm not going to waste my trip by pigging. =p So here we had a quick bath and get going to our first destination -- The Peak aka Madame Tussauds's wax museum.
First, we need to take a MTR ride to Central Station and a 15mins walk to THe Peak Tram station. @.@ Then you'll see all sky-high building surrounded around..
(left to right)
That's the Bank of China Tower and Asia Pacific Finance Tower.
Don't be afraid you'll be lost during this 15-mins walk. Just look for the signs!
Yeap, we're getting closer.....
On our way, I spotted a Catholic church - St. Joseph's Church. :)
*if i remember it well enough..hehe*
It only cost you a total of HK$190 for return ride of the Peak Tram + Madame Tussauds entrance + a great niteview at Sky Terrace. That's the combo I took. :)
Up up here we go~the ride was really steep...
I must say the wax statues are really quite impressive. It's full figure and they have all the exact details of an actual person. Some maybe looks quite fake...like Jay Chow. I at first can't recognize him..and I find it difficult to shoot in a low-light environment without a flash-gun. Direct flash will ruin all the photos of the wax statues. =.=
Here's some of my fave picks from the huge stack of photos~
Nicole Kidman, always well-dressed and elegant. =)
Janice Wei Lan is spectacular with her costume.
One special thing is that you can twist the key and like a music-box, Janice will be turning along with the rhythm of her song. :) Just happen that the children keep turning the key and I have hard time to get her photo in static. LOL!
Hi Hitler with a more 'modernized' style :P
I wonder how 'detailed' is the wax statue made...Do they covered ALL the tattoos that Angelina Jolie had? Revealed and hidden parts? hehehe..
I think the most realistic statue will be Bae Yong Jun, the famous Si-Lai aka Aunty killer in Winter Sonata, with his significant signature smile~
I don't really recognize him at my first glance... =.="
Princess Diana, everyone loves her! :)
Her dress collections are superb...
'To be, or not to be!'
Who wants to buy this painting?! Bid from RM10 =P
The infamous 'Steven-Boy' =P
The actual 'Blue' energy 'newly-landed' at the museum~Astro Boy!
Can't wait for the movie!
-tally vs shortie-
I never knew Dao Ming is THAT tall until i saw the statue...OMG~
'siew bak chang!' oops, that of cz not her all-time greatest hitz. :P
But nobody can beats her voice...
Einstein might be the reason to all my blur cases (mong cha cha)... MC^2
Pierce Brosnan - my all-time favorite James Bond..
I just started using Flickr to post up all my photos..cz of Blogspot resizing all my images.. =.=
hope it doesn't give too much hassle to load the page..hmmmm..still in testing stage.
Okay, have to stop here....need to head to Jusco, preparing my steamboat dinner! hohoho~
next-up, the breath-taking city niteview of Hong Kong! =) *stay with me~*
